How to avoid gaps during childbirth?

Why do ruptures occur during childbirth? During childbirth the fetus moves along the ancestral path, the head, reaching the pelvic floor, presses on the soft tissues and stretches them. Here everything depends on the elasticity of muscles and skin. In a healthy state, the tissues are freely stretched as much as necessary, and in cases of inflammation, the elasticity of the tissues is lost.

If we are not talking about the first birth, and in the first births to avoid ruptures or incisions failed, then on the perineum there is a scar that practically does not stretch. This is what causes the repeated rupture during childbirth.

Even with high elasticity of tissues, the cause of the appearance of ruptures during childbirth can be the inappropriate actions of a midwife or failure to comply with her requirements during childbirth. The midwife regulates the power of effort, so in no case should you overlook the ears of her directions.

There are cases when the doctor has to make a choice: a rupture or a cut. When it is clear that to avoid ruptures during childbirth will not succeed, the doctor decides - to cut, that is, to make a cut of the perineum. Many people think that there is no difference - a cut or a gap, but after a cut, the suture heals faster and better, there are rarely complications.

Women who have cervical erosion, and even those who have successfully cured it, are most susceptible to gaps in delivery. Inflammatory, infectious diseases of the reproductive system contribute to a decrease in the elasticity of tissues, so they cause breaks during childbirth. A large fruit, which will not be able to the female body can also cause breaks. In addition, a poor threshold of elasticity of tissues can be a genetic manifestation.
